Avoid the lunch hour, as there are limited personnel to work the counter. It is also best to stay away from the last business day of the month, December 20, May 10, or any days around them, if possible. If you will be doing business late in the day, please have all paperwork with you, including VIN inspection if you have a out of state title. We are working very hard to keep costs down. Our overtime expense costs everyone in Wabaunsee County. If doing vehicle business, you must have proof of insurance on each vehicle even though they are on the same policy. If an insurance company needs to fax your information there will be a charge. We, also, need each individual owner's Kansas Drivers' License number or company FEIN. When paying taxes, have your tax information available. Know the descriptions of all property you own to avoid missing parcel payments and having to be charged late fees.
